What is Two-factor authentication (2FA)?
A second check — usually a 6-digit code from your phone — on top of your password when logging in.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second proof of identity to your password: a rotating 6-digit code from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. Even if someone steals or guesses your password, they cannot log in without the code from your phone. Our customer accounts support TOTP-based 2FA with one-time recovery codes for when your phone is unavailable, and we strongly recommend enabling it for anything that touches billing.
